Kenyaâ s Smartest Money Strategy for the Common Citizen

Hawkers in Kenya are known to be most unsettled business people ever. Fighting across the streets with the city council police all the time. But this has finally come to an end. Someone sat down on his couch and thought that Muthurwa Market could become a good Hawkers market. A good thought implemented; now it is working though slowly.

However I have noted that Kenyans are allergic to change. The government has come to terms with this phobia and is getting used to it. The public vehicles (commonly known as matatus) owners couldnâ t agree more on being vacated out of town to do their business in Muthurwa Market. This was just so hard for so many. I overheard a conversation between a â Matatuâ conductor and a passenger talking about the strike that was planned by some Matatu owners.

As much as they want to go back to town to pick passengers from there, they are still eager to get some good results out of Muthurwa Market. So they are what I call posi-negatively charged victims. Sorry for them. The Minister Honorable Uhuru Kenyatta wonâ t laugh with them at this point. He says that the little houses remaining that seem to block â a solution to be foundâ can as well be demolished just so that they can get a bigger space to pack their vehicles and pick their passengers. At least they are coming into terms with that.

Another prominent phobia is evident in passengers. They are finding it hard to come into terms with walking. I believe this is a hidden strategy for Kenyans to lose their weight and wake up early to go to work. If I ask you now, in what direction is Kenya heading right now, what would you tell me? I believe you would say, its positive. I expect great change in the next five years. People are now working harder; no sleeping any more, the disabled can now work. Nobody should really complain.

One important aspect I have to praise is the fact that town has become professionally presentable to anyone. There is a lot of silence, fresh air, no jam and the only public service vehicles available during the day are the so called beautiful buses that wait patently for passengers to board and alight with respect, they donâ t bang, they donâ t say â faster fasterâ just what Kenyans need for Nairobi town as the capital city. It is now presentable!

Muthurwa market is beautiful. Hawkers have found a place and a long term place to sell their products. It is up to us now to support them. Whether you as a Kenyan, or a tourist, just go to Muthurwa market and buy the beautiful products on display. Promote them and lets all contribute in Developing Kenya.
